The Technology Center Foundation of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (hereinafter CIT UPC) is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and security of data provided by users.
When a user logs onto our servers or makes a request for information, his/her personal information relating to academic status, as well as any information generated by electronic communications he/she sends via the CIT UPC portals, are added to our database for processing queries and carrying out subsequent procedures.
By accepting these conditions, the user expressly authorises CIT UPC to provide any data in this database, as well as any data obtained for the purpose of developing mutual relations, to companies and/or institutions with which CIT UPC maintains contact in order to provide the requested services.
In compliance with Organic Law 15/1999 of 13 December, on the protection of personal data, we inform you that:
A) Information provided to us will be included in files under the responsibility, ownership and property of CIT UPC, with tax ID number G-65497182 and registered office at Carrer Jordi Girona 31, 08034 Barcelona, Spain.
B) CIT UPC guarantees the confidentiality of all information provided by users. In addition to the minimum protections established by law, appropriate security measures are taken in the collection and processing of data to prevent loss or manipulation by third parties.
C) In accordance with current legislation, all users of CIT UPC portals have the right to access, correct, challenge or withdraw their information at any time. Upon completion of the processes, the information will be withdrawn, and only that necessary for historical, statistical or scientific purposes will be kept, in accordance with specific legislation.

D) In order to provide the best possible services, CIT UPC must provide certain information about its users – name, address, telephone number, etc. – to third parties that work indirectly in the provision of these services (e.g. insurance companies, freight carriers, financial institutions, etc.). Nevertheless, the only information shared will be that deemed essential to the specific activity in question.
CODE OF ETHICS
The use of the services and contents of the CIT UPC portals is subject to current legislation and the principles of good faith and orderly conduct, in particular national and international laws on the protection of human rights.
Users shall not use the portals of the CIT UPC to transmit, communicate or in any way disseminate opinions or contents that are illegal, defamatory, vulgar or otherwise offensive or threatening to personal values or dignity.
The use of any of these portals for illegal purposes, or for purposes that may in any way harm, impede, damage and/or overload the use and normal functioning of the portal, or which directly or indirectly harm either the portal or any third party, is prohibited.
CIT UPC reserves the right to suspend the service without prior notice if user behaviour violates this Code of Ethics.
