A new material for manufacturing insulation for footwear by reusing tyres
 

A research team from the UPC, along with researchers from the URV, has found a new application for vulcanised rubber from tyres. Through a simple process in which the rubber is combined with a polymer, it can be converted into insulating material for footwear.

Virtual reality for people who have had a stroke
 

Researchers in the LAM UPC and the SIMMA Lab, in collaboration with the ADFO, have developed two multimedia applications for motor and cognitive rehabilitation of people with functional diversity. The focus is patients who have had a stroke.

The UPC hosts EMC Europe 2019
 
 

This year, the UPC hosted EMC Europe 2019, the largest conference on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) that is held in Europe and one of the three largest in the world. The event, which was held in Barcelona on 2–6 September, was organised by the GCEM UPC and EMC Europe in collaboration with the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society (IEEE EMCS).
