En aquest sentit, el r\u00e0pid creixement del sector de la refrigeraci\u00f3 ha fet que l\\&#8217;alliberament d\\&#8217;HFC origini prop del 3% de les emissions mundials de gasos d\\&#8217;efecte hivernacle.\r<br>La normativa actual, que s\u2019adre\u00e7a a eliminar-los progressivament, ha encoratjat el desenvolupament de noves tecnologies alternatives per a refrigeraci\u00f3 amb menys potencial d\\&#8217;escalfament atmosf\u00e8ric (PCA). Les m\u00e9s prometedores i respectuoses amb el medi ambient s\u00f3n els processos dintercanvi de calor associats a transformacions mec\u00e0niques en materials s\u00f2lids, relacionades amb l\u2019efecte mecanocal\u00f2ric (MC), com l\u2019efecte elastocal\u00f2ric (EC) i barocal\u00f2ric (BC). Els efectes EC i BC s\\&#8217;indueixen mitjan\u00e7ant una transformaci\u00f3 de fase (cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3\/fusi\u00f3), que genera escalfament\/refredament mitjan\u00e7ant canvis en la deformaci\u00f3 per tracci\u00f3 (EC) o per pressi\u00f3 hidrost\u00e0tica (BC) del material, respectivament. Recentment, el cautx\u00fa natural ha sorgit com un material excel\u00b7lent amb efecte MC, i que mostra efectes EC i BC a una tensi\u00f3 aplicada baixa o moderada en un rang de temperatures \u00f2ptim per a aplicacions dom\u00e8stiques.\r<br>A difer\u00e8ncia de la majoria dels materials cal\u00f2rics, el cautx\u00fa \u00e9s tou, de baix cost i d\\&#8217;origen biol\u00f2gic, unes qualitats que resolen simult\u00e0niament alguns dels principals problemes d\\&#8217;enginyeria i sostenibilitat de la refrigeraci\u00f3 artificial. Tot i aix\u00f2, malgrat l\\&#8217;enorme potencial del cautx\u00fa natural, aquest no s\\&#8217;ha utilitzat fins ara de manera eficient en prototips per a tecnologies de refrigeraci\u00f3 avan\u00e7ades.\r<br>En aquest context, es desenvolupa el projecte en qu\u00e8 treballa el grup de recerca Pl\u00e0stics i Comp\u00f2sits Ecol\u00f2gics (e-PLASCOM) de la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya &#8211; BarcelonaTech (UPC), i el Centre Catal\u00e0 del Pl\u00e0stic (CCP), l\\&#8217;objectiu del qual \u00e9s dissenyar nous materials ad hoc basats en cautx\u00fa, amb composicions i geometries espec\u00edfiques, per ser integrats de manera \u00f2ptima tant en tecnologies EC com BC a escala de prototip.\r<br>Per aconseguir-ho, es proposa processar els materials amb la composici\u00f3 adequada, barrejant eventualment amb cautx\u00fa de rebuig procedent de pneum\u00e0tics, cercant una alta vida a fatiga, aix\u00ed com una alta capacitat de cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 per assolir les propietats EC i BC esperades.\r<br>En el marc del projecte, es treballa en m\u00e8todes de processament a escala de laboratori i de planta pilot per al disseny de materials tant per a la investigaci\u00f3 fonamental com per a la comercialitzaci\u00f3 de dispositius EC i BC. Les provetes basades en cautx\u00fa natural s\\&#8217;assagen en models de tracci\u00f3 i compressi\u00f3 al laboratori i per a l\u2019\u00fas ad hoc en prototips EC i BC.<br>Project Header<br>no-repeat;left top;;<br>auto<br>20px<br><br><h4>Pressupost i finan\u00e7ament<\/h4>\r<br>El projecte est\u00e0 dotat d\\&#8217;un pressupost de 81.880 \u20ac i ha obtingut finan\u00e7ament a trav\u00e9s del Pla Estatal de Recerca Cient\u00edfica i T\u00e8cnica i d\\&#8217;Innovaci\u00f3 2021-2023 (Ag\u00e8ncia Estatal de Recerca).
