Aquest \u00e9s l\\&#8217;objectiu del projecte europeu\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/belightproject.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BE-LIGHT<\/a>, coordinat pel\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cd6.upc.edu\/index.php?nc=1&amp;lang=cat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre de Desenvolupament de Sensors, Instrumentaci\u00f3 i Sistemes (CD6)<\/a>\u00a0de la\u00a0Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya &#8211; BarcelonaTech (UPC), i en qu\u00e8 participen set institucions acad\u00e8miques, tres hospitals i set empreses d\\&#8217;Alemanya, Fran\u00e7a, Pol\u00f2nia, Su\u00efssa i Espanya.\r<br>El projecte BE-LIGHT suposa un nou pas endavant per al coneixement i el diagn\u00f2stic de les malalties de la retina, ja que mitjan\u00e7ant l\\&#8217;\u00fas de xarxes neuronals i de t\u00e8cniques optogen\u00e8tiques,\u00a0les noves eines que es desenvoluparan permetran entendre millor el funcionament de la retina i l\u2019intercanvi d\u2019informaci\u00f3 entre neurones, de manera que, a partir de models quantitatius, es podran detectar les malalties a la retina.\r<br>La combinaci\u00f3 de diverses tecnologies fot\u00f2niques com, per exemple, les imatges multiespectrals i la tomografia de coher\u00e8ncia \u00f2ptica, complementades amb algorismes d\u2019IA, permetr\u00e0 analitzar amb precisi\u00f3 diverses estructures oculars (c\u00f2rnia, vitri, fons d\u2019ull) per\u00a0detectar de forma preco\u00e7 malalties visuals i trastorns oculomotors. A m\u00e9s, l\u2019avaluaci\u00f3 amb IA dels patrons dels moviments oculars, fortament controlats per diferents regions cerebrals, tamb\u00e9 pot oferir\u00a0noves eines de diagn\u00f2stic per a malalties neurol\u00f2giques, com ara l\\&#8217;Alzheimer o la COVID persistent.\r<br>El projecte tamb\u00e9 possibilitar\u00e0 el\u00a0desenvolupament de nou instrumental i m\u00e8todes cl\u00ednics\u00a0capa\u00e7os, per exemple, d\u2019obtenir imatges de vasos sanguinis o d\u2019estructures oculars del pacient mitjan\u00e7ant tomografia \u00f2ptica i optoac\u00fastica o imatge t\u00e8rmica. Aquesta tecnologia ajudar\u00e0 a\u00a0detectar preco\u00e7ment plaques d\u2019arterioesclerosi de forma no invasiva, entre d\u2019altres. Aix\u00ed mateix, es posaran a punt noves eines d\u2019aprenentatge autom\u00e0tic per al\u00a0tractament i control de les arr\u00edtmies card\u00edaques amb llum, les quals podrien reempla\u00e7ar les t\u00e8cniques actuals basades en impulsos el\u00e8ctrics. L\\&#8217;aplicaci\u00f3 de la IA en combinaci\u00f3 amb t\u00e8cniques de microsc\u00f2pia de superesoluci\u00f3 permetr\u00e0 aconseguir imatges d\u2019estructures biol\u00f2giques de menys d\u2019un nan\u00f2metre, com ara les prote\u00efnes involucrades en la\u00a0malaltia de Parkinson i altres malalties rares, la qual cosa permetr\u00e0 millorar-ne el diagn\u00f2stic.\r<br>\u00a0\r<br><h4>Pressupost i finan\u00e7ament<\/h4>\r<br>El consorci, liderat per\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/futur.upc.edu\/MeritxellVilasecaRicart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meritxell Vilaseca<\/a>, investigadora del CD6 i\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/futur.upc.edu\/CristinaMasollerAlonso\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cristina Masoller<\/a>, investigadora del grup de recerca\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/donll.upc.edu\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Din\u00e0mica no Lineal, \u00d2ptica no Lineal i L\u00e0sers (DONLL)<\/a>, compta amb un finan\u00e7ament de 2,5 milions d\\&#8217;euros del programa Horizon Europe de la Uni\u00f3 Europea, dins de les accions Marie Sklodowska Curie (Doctoral Networks).
