El sistema proposat utilitzar\u00e0 tecnologia l\u00e0ser i sensors per detectar i mapar l\\&#8217;entorn submar\u00ed, i permetr\u00e0 que el vehicle aut\u00f2nom navegui de manera precisa i segura sense la intervenci\u00f3 humana.\r<br>Els sistemes LIDAR de mesura directa (d-TOF, de Time-of-Flight) es caracteritzen per obtenir mesures sense c\u00e0lculs posteriors, enviant un pols de llum cap a un objectiu i comptant el temps que triga a tornar mitjan\u00e7ant comptadors de temps electr\u00f2nics. Aquestes mesures de dist\u00e0ncia puntuals es poden convertir en imatges d\\&#8217;alta resoluci\u00f3 mitjan\u00e7ant diferents t\u00e8cniques d\\&#8217;escaneig de l\\&#8217;escena. Hi ha una \u00e0mplia varietat de configuracions i sistemes que permeten adaptar-se a diferents aplicacions i requisits, des dels tel\u00e8fons m\u00f2bils fins als cotxes aut\u00f2noms.\r<br>La complexitat de l\\&#8217;operaci\u00f3 en l\\&#8217;entorn mar\u00ed, combinada amb les dificultats pr\u00f2pies de la imatge submarina, han obstaculitzat fins ara el desenvolupament i aplicaci\u00f3 d\\&#8217;aquesta mena de tecnologies. Els principals reptes encara per superar s\u00f3n l\\&#8217;atenuaci\u00f3 severa de la radiaci\u00f3 \u00f2ptica, l\\&#8217;\u00fas de longituds d\\&#8217;ona no habituals, i la pres\u00e8ncia de terbolesa, especialment en \u00e0rees costaneres.\r<br>En el marc del projecte, es desenvolupar\u00e0 una font de llum adaptada a les condicions d\\&#8217;operaci\u00f3 submarina, l\\&#8217;adaptaci\u00f3 d\\&#8217;un sistema LIDAR amb capacitat d\\&#8217;incorporar sensors complementaris (imatge RGB, imatge t\u00e8rmica) i la seva integraci\u00f3 en un ROV submar\u00ed (aix\u00f2 \u00e9s, un vehicle operat remotament), per a la validaci\u00f3 de les capacitats de navegaci\u00f3 aut\u00f2noma en condicions rellevants.\r<br>BEACON contribuir\u00e0 a generar un impacte significatiu en diferents ind\u00fastries:\r<br>\r<br>Millores en el manteniment i inspecci\u00f3 d\\&#8217;infraestructures submarines.\r<br>Ampliaci\u00f3 de les possibilitats de detecci\u00f3 aplicables a diferents tipus de vehicles rob\u00f2tics submarins, fent-los m\u00e9s fiables i adaptables al seu entorn.\r<br>Aplicacions de tipus zool\u00f2gic i oceanogr\u00e0fic per a projectes d\\&#8217;an\u00e0lisis i conservaci\u00f3 de la vida marina.\r<br>\r<br><h4>Consorci, pressupost i finan\u00e7ament<\/h4>\r<br>A m\u00e9s del CD6 de la UPC, en el projecte participen l\\&#8217;empresa <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.subseamechatronics.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Subsea Mecatronics<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/radiantis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Radiantis<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/beamagine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beamagine<\/a> i <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/secpho.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Secpho<\/a>.
