CP4C \u00e9s un dels projectes de la Universitat que ha obtingut un ajut del Barcelona Deep Tech Node per accelerar la seva sortida al mercat.<\/h4><br>Project Header<br>no-repeat;left top;;<br>auto<br>20px<br><br><br>El projecte, en el qual participa el Laboratori Plasmas for BioMedical Applications (PlasmaMED Lab), membres de la divisi\u00f3 de Plasmes per a aplicacions biom\u00e8diques del Grup de Recerca de Biomaterials, Biomec\u00e0nica i Enginyeria de Teixits (BBT) del CREB de la UPC, es basa a desenvolupar un tractament per a l\\&#8217;osteosarcoma mitjan\u00e7ant l\u00edquids tractats amb plasma-gas (PTL), ha demostrat que els PTL poden matar les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules canceroses gr\u00e0cies a les esp\u00e8cies reactives d\u2019oxigen i de nitrogen (RONS) que contenen. A difer\u00e8ncia dels efectes secundaris que produeix la quimioter\u00e0pia, a dosis adequades, les RONS indueixen la mort de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules tumorals sense danyar els teixits sans. Aquestes RONS es poden generar en l\u00edquids i tamb\u00e9 en hidrogels (PTH), que s\u2019injecten localment al tumor per aconseguir un alliberament controlat de les RONS.\u00a0\r<br>A trav\u00e9s d\u2019aquests hidrogels, en combinaci\u00f3 amb materials cer\u00e0mics com els fosfats de calci, s\u2019obt\u00e9 un material comp\u00f2sit que elimina les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules de c\u00e0ncer gr\u00e0cies a l\u2019acci\u00f3 de les RONS i afavoreix la regeneraci\u00f3 \u00f2ssia.\r<br>La soluci\u00f3 \u00e9s, doncs, una ter\u00e0pia innovadora menys agressiva i altament eficient per erradicar el c\u00e0ncer d\u2019os, amb la possibilitat de regenerar el teixit ossi afectat despr\u00e9s de la resecci\u00f3 quir\u00fargica del tumor. El potencial anticancer\u00f3s i la seguretat dels tractaments amb PTL\/PTH ha quedat demostrat in vitro i tamb\u00e9 in vivo. Amb el projecte CP4C, es pret\u00e9n avan\u00e7ar en la validaci\u00f3 de la tecnologia tant en entorns in vitro com en els models animals precl\u00ednics in vivo m\u00e9s rellevants, seguint les directrius de les ag\u00e8ncies reguladores corresponents.\r<br><h4>Accelerant el desenvolupament tecnol\u00f2gic<\/h4>\r<br>Barcelona Deep Tech Node \u00e9s una alian\u00e7a per impulsar projectes tecnol\u00f2gics i innovadors entre l\u2019Ajuntament de Barcelona, a trav\u00e9s de Barcelona Activa, la Universitat de Barcelona (UB), la Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (UAB), la Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) i la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), a m\u00e9s de la UPC. Des de la posada en marxa de la iniciativa, un centenar de projectes i spin-offs provinents de les universitats i centres de recerca han participat d\u2019esdeveniments, f\u00f2rums d\u2019inversi\u00f3 o diferents sessions de mentoria. Els ajuts \u2018Proves de Concepte\u2019, de 225.000 euros en total, facilitaran als projectes seleccionats el seu acc\u00e9s a finan\u00e7ament, accelerar el desenvolupament tecnol\u00f2gic i escur\u00e7ar terminis d\u2019arribada al mercat.
