El resultat ser\u00e0 una xarxa que permetr\u00e0 que els vehicles, tant aut\u00f2noms com condu\u00efts per humans, puguin circular de forma segura i evitant accidents en zones amb molt de tr\u00e0nsit o molt concorregudes.<\/h4><br>Project Header<br>no-repeat;left top;;<br>auto<br>20px<br><br><br>En uns anys els vehicles circularan habitualment de manera aut\u00f2noma, ja que les tecnologies necess\u00e0ries per percebre tot all\u00f2 que els envolta estan evolucionant r\u00e0pidament. 6G-EWOC vol anar un pas m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 i fer que els vehicles futurs puguin conduir de forma aut\u00f2noma i millor que els condu\u00efts per humans. Per aconseguir-ho, cal que a m\u00e9s de detectar objectes, altres vehicles o persones que hi ha al seu voltant, siguin capa\u00e7os de saber, amb precisi\u00f3, a quina dist\u00e0ncia es troben, a quina velocitat van i en quina direcci\u00f3. Amb tota aquesta informaci\u00f3, la intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia del vehicle podr\u00e0 des de decidir quina \u00e9s la ruta m\u00e9s segura a seguir, fins a detectar \\&#8217;punts cecs\\&#8217; o \u2018veure\\&#8217; situacions que no es perceben f\u00e0cilment, i que s\u00f3n causa comuna d\\&#8217;accidents o atropellaments (per exemple, quan un vehicle o un altre objecte no deixa veure la pres\u00e8ncia d\\&#8217;un vianant que est\u00e0 a punt de creuar).\r<br>Per evitar-ho, els vehicles, tant els que van amb conducci\u00f3 aut\u00f2noma com amb conducci\u00f3 humana, haurien de disposar d\\&#8217;un mapa en temps real, amb informaci\u00f3 detallada i en 3D de carrers, embussos i tamb\u00e9 de la resta de vehicles, \u00e9ssers i objectes presents a cada entorn que travessen. Per arribar a aix\u00f2 calen vehicles connectats que puguin intercanviar els grans volums d\\&#8217;informaci\u00f3 que generen els seus potents sensors, tant entre els vehicles com amb els centres de computaci\u00f3, que s\\&#8217;encarreguin de fusionar, en temps real, tot all\u00f2 que detecten o \\&#8217;veuen\\&#8217; en cada moment, a trav\u00e9s de sensors de RADAR i LiDAR, o de les c\u00e0meres dels diversos vehicles. Calen, doncs, xarxes molt potents, amb capacitat de gestionar el volum de dades generades, i de l\\&#8217;\u00fas de diverses tecnologies, com les que es desenvolupen i s\u2019uneixen en el projecte 6G-EWOC.\r<br>Aquestes tecnologies van des de sensors basats en l\u00e0sers integrats (com el LiDAR, capa\u00e7os de detectar en 3D tot el que hi ha al voltant) a comunicacions \u00f2ptiques sense fil entre vehicles i amb elements com ara fanals o sem\u00e0fors, que poden actuar d\\&#8217;antena extra 6G. Per desenvolupar el projecte es compta tamb\u00e9 amb fibres \u00f2ptiques d\\&#8217;alta capacitat, cada cop m\u00e9s presents a llars, ciutats, autovies i el mobiliari urb\u00e0, que poden transportar tot aquest gran volum de dades fins al centre m\u00e9s proper de c\u00e0lcul distribu\u00eft.\r<br>A m\u00e9s a m\u00e9s, la IA ajudar\u00e0 a organitzar i dirigir tot el tr\u00e0nsit de dades als diversos centres de c\u00e0lcul i a fusionar les dades dels vehicles de cada zona, construint aix\u00ed una pe\u00e7a del mapa en 3D i integrant-la amb la resta de peces, les quals generaran els elements de computaci\u00f3 distribu\u00efda d\\&#8217;altres zones. Gr\u00e0cies a la xarxa desenvolupada, es podr\u00e0 transmetre a conductors i vehicles un mapa detallat, complet i actualitzat en temps real, i fer la conducci\u00f3 tan segura com sigui possible.\r<br>\u00a0\r<br><h4>Consorci, pressupost i finan\u00e7ament<\/h4>\r<br>Per part de la UPC, en el projecte 6G-EWOC hi participen investigadors del <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ccaba.upc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre de Comunicacions Avan\u00e7ades de Banda Ampla (CCABA)<\/a>, coordinadors del projecte, del <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ideai.upc.edu\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Research Centre of Intel\u00b7ligent Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDEAI-UPC)<\/a>, del <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cd6.upc.edu\/index.php?nc=1&amp;lang=cat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre de Desenvolupament de Sensors, Instrumentaci\u00f3 i Sistemes (CD6)<\/a>, i del <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tsc.upc.edu\/en\/research\/research-groups\/commsenslab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre Espec\u00edfic de Recerca en Comunicaci\u00f3 i Detecci\u00f3 UPC (CommSensLab -UPC)<\/a>. A m\u00e9s, hi participen 11 socis europeus m\u00e9s, entre els quals, el <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cttc.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre Tecnol\u00f2gic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC)<\/a>, vinculat tamb\u00e9 a la UPC i l\\&#8217;spin off BEAMAGINE, sorgida del CD6 UPC.\r<br>6G-EWOC ha estat un dels 27 seleccionats a la segona convocat\u00f2ria del programa <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/smart-networks.europa.eu\/6g-research-gets-a-130-million-eur-eu-funding-boost-in-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smart Networks and Services in 6G (6GSNS<\/a>), vinculat al programa marc europeu Horizon Europe i est\u00e0 dotat amb m\u00e9s de cinc milions d\\&#8217;euros (quatre dels quals aportats per la Uni\u00f3 Europea i m\u00e9s d\\&#8217;un pel govern su\u00eds).
