La funci\u00f3 d\\&#8217;aquests bioproductes ser\u00e0 la de poder resoldre problemes actuals d\\&#8217;inter\u00e8s social, econ\u00f2mic, industrial i ambiental relacionats amb l\\&#8217;embalatge, la qualitat de l\\&#8217;aigua i de l\\&#8217;aire i la detecci\u00f3 preco\u00e7 de situacions cr\u00edtiques de salut.<br><br>En el marc del projecte CELLECOPROD, s\\&#8217;aprofitar\u00e0 la versatilitat estructural de la cel\u00b7lulosa per a modificar-la f\u00edsica, qu\u00edmica i enzim\u00e0ticament, i desenvolupar aix\u00ed aquests bioproductes avan\u00e7ats. Es treballar\u00e0 amb la cel\u00b7lulosa tant a escala macro com nano, i s\\&#8217;utilitzar\u00e0 tant individualment com combinada amb altres biopol\u00edmers per aconseguir les propietats desitjades, segons la seva aplicaci\u00f3 final, tenint en compte el concepte d\\&#8217;ecodisseny.<br><br>Els nous materials tindran tres aplicacions principals:<br><br><br><br>Per a aplicacions en biopackaging, els biomaterials desenvolupats tindran la capacitat de protegir el producte en l\\&#8217;interior de l\\&#8217;env\u00e0s tant dels agents externs com dels impactes que pugui sofrir. D\\&#8217;una banda, s\\&#8217;aconseguiran estructures laminars basades en cel\u00b7lulosa amb bones propietats f\u00edsic-mec\u00e0niques i \u00f2ptiques, i elevades propietats per a actuar com a barrera enfront de diferents gasos i l\u00edquids. D\\&#8217;altra banda, es construiran estructures tridimensionals com aerogels, capa\u00e7os d\\&#8217;absorbir l\\&#8217;energia resultant de possibles impactes produ\u00efts durant el transport de l\\&#8217;env\u00e0s.<br><br>En els biomaterials creats per millorar la qualitat de l\\&#8217;aigua o de l\\&#8217;aire, la cel\u00b7lulosa es modificar\u00e0 amb diferents tractaments oxidatius o enzim\u00e0tics i es funcionalitzar\u00e0 amb diversos biopol\u00edmers per aconseguir estructures cel\u00b7lul\u00f2siques capaces d\\&#8217;eliminar eficientment els contaminants, mitjan\u00e7ant un proc\u00e9s de filtraci\u00f3 (utilitzant membranes) o adsorci\u00f3 (utilitzant hidrogels i aerogels).<br><br><br><br>\u00a0<br><br><br><br>Finalment, es desenvoluparan biosensors utilitzant estrat\u00e8gies d\\&#8217;immobilitzaci\u00f3 de biocomponents, per a crear dispositius de monitoratge continu amb la finalitat de detectar de manera senzilla situacions cr\u00edtiques de salut.<br><br><br><br>\u00a0<br><br>El desenvolupament de nous biomaterials i productes ecol\u00f2gics procedents de recursos naturals com la biomassa vegetal (on la cel\u00b7lulosa \u00e9s el component majoritari), far\u00e0 que aquests siguin biodegradables. Per tant, es contribuir\u00e0 a disminuir la gran quantitat de residus no biodegradables que actualment es generen amb els productes derivats del petroli (pl\u00e0stics), els quals suposen un gran impacte mediambiental. A m\u00e9s, amb l\\&#8217;aplicaci\u00f3 del concepte d\\&#8217;ecodisseny es preveu fins i tot minimitzar la quantitat de mat\u00e8ria primera utilitzada per a les aplicacions on s\\&#8217;utilitzarien aquests nous biomaterials cel\u00b7lul\u00f2sics.\u00a0<br><br>El principal valor afegit del projecte \u00e9s trobar diferents maneres de transformar la cel\u00b7lulosa en nous productes ecol\u00f2gics que tinguin diferents capacitats i funcionalitats segons el dest\u00ed final de la seva aplicaci\u00f3, podent arribar a substituir altres materials no biodegradables i nocius per al medi ambient.<br><br>\u00a0<br><br><h4>Pressupost i finan\u00e7ament<\/h4><br><br>El projecte est\u00e0 dotat d\\&#8217;un pressupost total de 118.580 \u20ac, finan\u00e7at a trav\u00e9s del Pla Estatal de Recerca Cient\u00edfica i T\u00e8cnica i d\\&#8217;Innovaci\u00f3 2017-2020 (Ag\u00e8ncia Estatal de Recerca).
