En aquest context, calen tecnologies m\u00e9s sostenibles, eficients i assequibles, capaces de funcionar amb fonts renovables i de reduir la depend\u00e8ncia de processos intensius en energia.<\/p><br><br><p>El projecte respon a aquest repte amb el desenvolupament d\u2019aerogels, materials ultralleugers amb una estructura altament porosa, fabricats a partir de biopol\u00edmers naturals com l\u2019alginat de sodi i la gelatina. Aquests materials destaquen per la seva hidrofilia, biodegradabilitat i baix cost, fet que els converteix en una alternativa atractiva per a aplicacions ambientals vinculades al tractament de l\u2019aigua.<\/p><br><br><p>La soluci\u00f3 es basa en la t\u00e8cnica de congelaci\u00f3 direccional, que permet generar una estructura porosa orientada verticalment. Aquesta arquitectura interna afavoreix el transport r\u00e0pid de l\u2019aigua cap a la superf\u00edcie per capil\u00b7laritat: els canals verticals actuen com a microbombes que faciliten el moviment del l\u00edquid dins del material. D\u2019aquesta manera, l\u2019aigua arriba de forma cont\u00ednua a la zona activa d\u2019evaporaci\u00f3.<\/p><br><br><p>Per incrementar l\u2019efici\u00e8ncia del dispositiu, s\u2019hi incorpora negre de carboni, un agent fotot\u00e8rmic de baix cost amb una elevada capacitat d\u2019absorci\u00f3 de radiaci\u00f3 en una banda \u00e0mplia de l\u2019espectre solar. Aquest component transforma la radiaci\u00f3 solar en energia t\u00e8rmica i permet una evaporaci\u00f3 interfacial r\u00e0pida, sense necessitat d\u2019escalfar tota la massa d\u2019aigua. Aquesta gesti\u00f3 t\u00e8rmica, combinada amb la baixa conductivitat pr\u00f2pia de l\u2019aerogel, redueix les p\u00e8rdues d\u2019energia cap a l\u2019aigua subjacent i optimitza el rendiment global del sistema.<\/p><br><br><p>A m\u00e9s de facilitar la purificaci\u00f3 per evaporaci\u00f3 solar, els aerogels desenvolupats presenten capacitat d\u2019adsorci\u00f3 de contaminants gr\u00e0cies als grups funcionals presents en els pol\u00edmers. Aix\u00f2 amplia el potencial de la tecnologia en el tractament d\u2019aig\u00fces no potables, ja que combina evaporaci\u00f3 eficient, \u00fas de materials naturals i possibilitat de capturar determinats contaminants.<\/p><br><br><p>L\u2019aportaci\u00f3 de l\u2019e-PLASCOM se centra en el disseny, la fabricaci\u00f3 i l\u2019optimitzaci\u00f3 d\u2019aquests aerogels de biopol\u00edmers, aix\u00ed com en la integraci\u00f3 del component fotot\u00e8rmic per millorar-ne el comportament sota radiaci\u00f3 solar. El resultat \u00e9s una tecnologia amb potencial d\u2019aplicaci\u00f3 en sistemes de purificaci\u00f3 descentralitzats, especialment en entorns on es requereixen solucions de baix cost, baix impacte ambiental i funcionament aut\u00f2nom amb energia renovable.<\/p><br><br><h4>Pressupost i consorci<\/h4><br><br><p>El projecte es desenvolupar\u00e0 entre el 2026 i el 2028 i tamb\u00e9 hi participa la Universitat de Tiangon (Xina).
