En aquest context, les centrals hidroel\u00e8ctriques reversibles \u2014tamb\u00e9 conegudes com a centrals de bombeig\u2014 s\u00f3n infraestructures clau per emmagatzemar energia a gran escala, donar resposta r\u00e0pida a pics de demanda i aportar serveis auxiliars que millorin l\u2019estabilitat del sistema el\u00e8ctric. A la UE, s\u2019estima que m\u00e9s del 95% de l\u2019energia emmagatzemada a nivell de xarxa el\u00e8ctrica es fa mitjan\u00e7ant aquesta tecnologia.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><br><br><p>Tanmateix, el nou paper d\u2019aquestes plantes en un sistema energ\u00e8tic amb una component m\u00e9s renovable implica condicions d\u2019operaci\u00f3 m\u00e9s exigents: arrencades i aturades m\u00e9s freq\u00fcents, canvis r\u00e0pids de mode de funcionament, operaci\u00f3 en rangs m\u00e9s amplis i m\u00e9s exposici\u00f3 dels components cr\u00edtics a fen\u00f2mens de degradaci\u00f3. Tot plegat pot incrementar els costos d\u2019operaci\u00f3 i manteniment, reduir la disponibilitat de les instal\u00b7lacions i generar riscos d\u2019aturades no planificades.<\/p><br><br><p><a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/storhy.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">STOR-HY<\/a> (amb nom en angl\u00e8s, Innovative storage technology and operations in hydropower) dona resposta a aquest repte amb una proposta orientada a minimitzar el CAPEX (Capital Expenditure o inversi\u00f3 inicial) i l\u2019OPEX (Operational Expenditure o despesa operativa) dels projectes innovadors d\u2019emmagatzematge hidroel\u00e8ctric. Per aconseguir-ho, es treballa per allargar la vida \u00fatil dels components i equips de les centrals hidroel\u00e8ctriques reversibles, millorar-ne la reciclabilitat i definir estrat\u00e8gies d\u2019operaci\u00f3 adaptades a esquemes no convencionals, com ara instal\u00b7lacions en entorns complexos o amb condicions especialment exigents.<\/p><br><br><p>La soluci\u00f3 combina sistemes de monitoratge avan\u00e7ats basats en sensors, eines digitals de gesti\u00f3 operativa, controladors en temps real, models computacionals d\u2019alt nivell i algoritmes de manteniment predictiu. Aquests sistemes permeten detectar mecanismes de fallada en fases inicials, anticipar processos de degradaci\u00f3 i evitar tant intervencions de manteniment innecess\u00e0ries com aturades imprevistes. D\u2019aquesta manera, les centrals poden operar amb m\u00e9s fiabilitat, disponibilitat i efici\u00e8ncia.<\/p><br><br><p>Un dels elements centrals del projecte \u00e9s la plataforma ciberf\u00edsica de suport avan\u00e7at a la decisi\u00f3, anomenada CADS \u2014Cyber-physical platform for Advanced Decision Support\u2014. Aquesta plataforma integra dades de monitoratge, models computacionals i informaci\u00f3 operativa per estimar de manera realista la degradaci\u00f3 de components cr\u00edtics, tant en operacions a curt termini com en escenaris de funcionament a llarg termini. La informaci\u00f3 generada dona suport a la presa de decisions en l\u2019operaci\u00f3 de les plantes i facilita el disseny d\u2019estrat\u00e8gies de control innovadores per a condicions d\u2019alta complexitat.<\/p><br><br><p>La validaci\u00f3 de la soluci\u00f3 proposada es duu a terme en sis demostradors europeus situats a Fran\u00e7a, Portugal i Regne Unit: Vouglans\u2013Saut Mortier\u2013Coiselet, Le Cheylas i La Rance a Fran\u00e7a; Alqueva i Vilarinho das Furnas a Portugal; i un demostrador innovatiu de petita escala amb fluid dens. Aquests casos cobreixen diferents situacions innovadores o exigents, com ara el bombament en t\u00e0ndem, centrals mareomotrius amb aigua salada, plantes h\u00edbrides bateries i fotovoltaica flotant, i la reutilitzaci\u00f3 d\u2019una antigua mina de carb\u00f3 per a l\u2019emmagatzematge hidroel\u00e8ctric.<\/p><br><br><p>L\u2019aportaci\u00f3 del CDIF de la UPC, expert en vibracions de turbomaquin\u00e0ria hidroel\u00e8ctrica, diagn\u00f2stic industrial, manteniment preventiu i detecci\u00f3 de danys, se centra en el diagn\u00f2stic, la modelitzaci\u00f3 i el monitoratge avan\u00e7at de sistemes hidr\u00e0ulics i components cr\u00edtics i en les simulacions fluidodin\u00e0miques i mec\u00e0niques (CFD i elements finits). El centre contribueix al desenvolupament de metodologies capaces de relacionar dades reals d\u2019operaci\u00f3 amb models computacionals per comprendre millor el comportament dels equips, estimar-ne l\u2019estat de salut i donar suport a decisions operatives m\u00e9s informades. Aquesta experi\u00e8ncia \u00e9s especialment rellevant per ampliar el rang operatiu de les centrals de bombeig i incrementar la flexibilitat de la generaci\u00f3 i l\u2019emmagatzematge hidroel\u00e8ctric a Europa.<\/p><br><br><p>A m\u00e9s de l\u2019impacte tecnol\u00f2gic, STOR-HY incorpora una visi\u00f3 de sostenibilitat que inclou aspectes ambientals, de circularitat, econ\u00f2mics i socials. El projecte t\u00e9 en compte q\u00fcestions com els impactes locals, l\u2019acceptaci\u00f3 social, les consideracions ecol\u00f2giques i l\u2019an\u00e0lisi de costos al llarg del cicle de vida. Tamb\u00e9 prioritza la creaci\u00f3 de connexions regionals amb agents locals, ind\u00fastria, acad\u00e8mia i institucions p\u00fabliques, amb l\u2019objectiu d\u2019afavorir la transfer\u00e8ncia de resultats i la seva aplicaci\u00f3 en el sector energ\u00e8tic.<\/p><br><br><h4>Consorci, pressupost i finan\u00e7ament<\/h4><br><br><p>STOR-HY est\u00e0 finan\u00e7at pel programa Horizon Europe (GA No. 101172905). T\u00e9 una durada de 48 mesos (octubre de 2024 &#8211; setembre de 2028) i t\u00e9 un pressupost total de 9,58 milions d\u2019euros.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><br><br><p>El consorci est\u00e0 format per 18 socis de 8 pa\u00efsos.
