On 3 December, the second virtual meeting of the Open Innovation Forum 2020 (OIF) will be held, a programme that enables companies to share their innovation challenges and obtain proposals of solutions from research centres and groups. The UPC is joint organiser through the CIT UPC.

The deadline for companies to propose challenges in this second meeting is 6 November, although registration in the programme provides access to the platform all year.

The OIF is a continuous, open programme divided into six knowledge areas: Health and Life Sciences, Food, Chemistry, Energy and Resources, Industrial Systems and Mobility. The first virtual meeting was held on 15 July. Over 250 participants attended, and more than 70 meetings between businesses and research groups were requested.

The OIF is organised by Biocat, the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation, UPF Ventures, the UAB Research Park, CIT UPC, IDIBELL and ACCIÓ. Other collaborators are the ICMAB, the University of Girona, the Rovira i Virgili University, XaRTA, XRB, Beauty Cluster Barcelona, CataloniaBio & HealthTech, FemCat, VHIR and PIMEC.
