UPC TECHNOLOGY AT THE ON INNOVEM DAYS

On 2–4 April, the ON 2019 days were held. This event is organised by Castelldefels Town Council and provides a meeting point for the business sector in the Llobregat area and researchers, to take advantage of research dynamics and transfer knowledge to the business environment. This year, the latest trends in three key sectors were addressed: drones and their applications, tourism and its management, and the right food today.

The UPC formed part of the group that promoted the event, which brought together entrepreneurs and the general public interested in innovation in the areas of Baix Llobregat, Barcelona, Baix Penedès and the Garraf.

UPC technology was present in three thematic blocks:

Miguel Valero, from the Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering (EETAC), referred to the training and research in this area carried out in the Mediterranean Technology Park. In addition, Enric Pastor from the EETAC discussed drones and mobile technology.
