The results of SOMATCH, a European project coordinated by Innotex Center / Intexter, have been presented, which has developed an intelligent system capable of visualizing, defining, analyzing and predicting fashion trends through the analysis of billions of images obtained in networks social. This innovative tool allows access to small and medium-sized textile design in objective predictions of fashion trends that until now were only accessible to the major brands in the sector. Aquest trend hunter virtual saves up to 8,000 million euros to all European textile manufacturing SMEs, because it drastically reduces and simplifies the design production process, in which these companies currently invest about 7% of their turnover.
Seven companies and technology centers have participated in the consortium: Sparsity Technologies (spin-off of DAMA UPC, Holonix, i-Deal and Dena Cashmere of Italy, Not fair to label, UK, Weblogs, SL, Madrid, And the Technical University of Munich. The project has a budget of 1.2 million euros.
