Dr. Torras is a specialist in assistance robotics; the area of robotics that designs equipment adapted to the needs of people with disabilities to help them in their daily life, as if the robots were personal assistants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tatiana P\u00e9rez de Guzm\u00e1n el Bueno Foundation gives this annual prize of 12,000 euros to recognise pioneering women for their notable contribution to science and research in the area of physics, chemistry or mathematics.
