Once again, CIT UPC is participating in the Open Innovation Forum, which this year celebrates its fifth edition. An open and continuous innovation programme, structured in six areas of knowledge: Health and Life Sciences, Food, Chemistry, Energy and Resources, Industrial Systems and Mobility.<\/p>\n
The Open Innovation Forum offers a platform for contact between companies<\/b> seeking to solve innovation challenges in different areas of their activity and research centres<\/b> that, through their work, allow innovation to be driven forward. In short, the aim is to accelerate the transfer of knowledge and technology<\/b> to society by connecting the different agents in the innovation system.<\/p>\n
The initiative is organised by Biocat, together with CIT UPC, Bosch i Gimpera Foundation, and UAB Research Park. The institutions that are helping to identify the companies and challenges are: Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC), Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB), Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC), University of Barcelona (UB), University of Girona (UdG), Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), Rovira i Virgili University (URV Foundation), Vall d\u2019Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), Catalonia Food Innovation Network and XRES4S.<\/p>\n
Registration for the 5th edition of the Open Innovation Forum will be open until 15 December<\/b> 2022, at this link. Whether you are a company, with innovation challenges, or a research centre or group, with an interest in bringing your research to the market, the programme will help you to make your challenges and solutions known.<\/p>\nThe 2021 edition in numbers<\/h4>\n
In the fourth edition, a total of 24 companies and 48 solvers<\/b> registered, from which 42 innovation challenges<\/b> emerged and more than 80 meetings were held over the course of the programme.<\/p>\nTerrassa Open Innovation Forum<\/h4>\n
In the framework of the 2022 edition, with the aim of promoting the transfer of knowledge and technology from university to business and to make visible the collaborating research groups from Terrassa University Campus, the Innovation and Universities services of the Terrassa City Council<\/b>, through the Terrassa Open Innovation Forum<\/b> programme, are organising an on-site session on 27 October, from 9.30 am to 1 pm<\/b>, at the headquarters of the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.<\/p>\n \n
The session will present three best practices of university-business knowledge transfer<\/b>, with the participation of the Centre for Advanced Technologies in Mechanics (CATMech) and the Centre for Sensors, Instruments and Systems Development (CD6), of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya (UPC), and the Image Processing and Multimedia Technology Center (CITM), affiliated to the UPC:<\/p>\n
