Transfiere<\/a> is the European Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation and the main meetingpoint of southern Europe to share scientific and technological knowledge, promote innovation andconnect science and companies.\r
The 2024 call reaffirms a commitment to increase the visibility of the business sector as a pillar ofinnovation in the private sector, with the support of government bodies.\r
Some of the projects and solutions with the UPC\u2019s hallmark that will be presented at 2024 are:\r
\r
BINAFET<\/a> project: Integrating agriculture into buildings and modelling strategies for air reuse in cities.\r
A device for monitoring the cardiovascular system in animals in a non-invasive way.<\/a>\r
RECYBUILDMAT<\/a> project: Construction materials based on recycling fibres from clothing waste and textile remnants.\r
SEASLAG<\/a> project: A new biomaterial to regenerate marine ecosystems based on byproducts of the steel and agrifood industries.\r
Assolim project: Optimised routes<\/a> on demand for the food service sector.\r
ETEXHEALTH<\/a> project: Smart textiles for applications in the health sector.\r
6G-EWOC<\/a> project: a 6G optical network of connected mobility, so that in the future vehicles can travel autonomously with high levels of safety, due to a full 3D map of mobility in the environment in real time.\r
A laser technology for mapping of the underwater environment and navigating more safely and accurately without human intervention, developed in the BEACON<\/a> project.\r
MERIT<\/a>, a new pan-European educational ecosystem for training digital specialists and a master\u2019s degree programme promoted by the industry, based on current market trends and industry needs focused on AI, the Internet of Things (IoT) and cybersafety. A project in which the CIT UPC participates as a member.\r
INDUSAC<\/a> project, focused on the development and validation of innovative collaboration between industry and university, for fast, human-centred co-creation driven by challenges, in which the CIT UPC also participates.\r

The CIT UPC Technology Center will present UPC technology at Transfiere 2024, which willbe held this year from 20 and 22 March at the Trade Fair and Congress Center of Malaga(FYCMA). The event will bring together over 500 companies and entities in the research,development and innovation ecosystem. In this edition, CIT UPC will have a stand and willparticipate in networking activities with companies and entities. It will offer thetechnological capabilities and projects developed by the UPC relating to urbandevelopment and sustainability, the circular economy, biomaterials, health, solutions thatapply technologies such as artificial intelligence and 6G to mobility, and projects that seekto improve the digital competencies of professionals in Europe and university\/companycollaboration.<\/h4>
