{"id":7511,"date":"2020-10-01T14:30:59","date_gmt":"2020-10-01T14:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/actphast4_0\/"},"modified":"2024-11-19T08:19:24","modified_gmt":"2024-11-19T08:19:24","slug":"actphast4_0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/en\/actphast4_0\/","title":{"rendered":"Acceleration of projects in the area of photonics for companies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Centre for Sensors, Instruments and Systems Development (<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cd6.upc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">CD6 UPC<\/a>) is participating as a partner in the European project ACTPHAST4.0 (<strong>AC<\/strong>celeraTing&nbsp;<strong>PH<\/strong>otonics innov<strong>A<\/strong>tion for SME\u2019s: a one&nbsp;<strong>ST<\/strong>op-shop-incubator).&nbsp;<strong>ACTPHAST4.0<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;is a platform that supports and accelerates European companies\u2019 innovation capacity by providing direct access to expertise, the state-of-the-art and the infrastructure of leading European technology centres (called ACTPHAST4.0 partners), to help companies to exploit the commercial potential of applied photonics.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ACTPHAST40.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7633\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ACTPHAST40.png 600w, https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ACTPHAST40-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ACTPHAST40-219x146.png 219w, https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ACTPHAST40-50x33.png 50w, https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ACTPHAST40-113x75.png 113w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width:767px) 480px, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>ACTPHAST4.0 operates as an open call to all European companies (large and small, although it is particularly focused on SMEs), to support innovation processes that impact a wide range of industrial sectors. The main areas of application are, among others, advanced production (industry 4.0), the automotive industry, the aerospace industry, energy and the environment, life sciences and health, security, metrology and sensors, and visualization and displays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How can companies access it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experts and technology partners available on ACTPHAST4.0 can be accessed through submission of proposals for innovative projects to be undertaken in relatively short periods (between 6 and 9 months).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACTPHAST4.0 contributes to reducing the risk of innovative projects, as it has its own funding instrument. Financial support is based on funding the tasks that the ACTPHAST4.0 partners undertake for a company. Projects are organized in two phases: a first phase of viability studies or conceptual design that could be up to \u20ac30000 subsidized at 100%, and a second phase in which the subsidy is 75%. When large-scale production starts, the subsidy is 50% for all the project costs.
