As winners, the <\/strong>Steering Machines team will travel to Shenzhen (China), which is considered the main manufacturing city and region in the world, to carry out an acceleration programme thanks to Brinc Accelerator.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/steering-machines-plataforma.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9494\" width=\"439\" height=\"274\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/steering-machines-plataforma.jpg 696w, https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/steering-machines-plataforma-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/steering-machines-plataforma-234x146.jpg 234w, https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/steering-machines-plataforma-50x31.jpg 50w, https:\/\/cit.upc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/steering-machines-plataforma-120x75.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width:767px) 439px, 439px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Steering Machines, a spin-off of the Center for Industrial Equipment Design (CDEI UPC), presented its project MOBY, a mobile platform system with conventional wheels and its omnidirectional, adaptable robot. The technology enables the robot to move in all directions at any time and with any load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Steering Machines was the winner out of the ten startups that participated in IQS Next Tech, an event held by the IQS Tech Factory and promoted by the <strong>IQS University along with Barter<\/strong>, which is also supported by the Catalan Agency for Enterprise Competitiveness (ACCI\u00d3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second company that won a prize was Miwendo Solutions, which emerged from the CommSensLab research centre at the UPC, along with the UPF, ICREA and Hospital Cl\u00ednic.
