CIT UPC will participate in meetechSpain, the event that aims to consolidate itself as a disruptive space in the Spanish innovation ecosystem and that will take place on 18 and 19 May, in the Hotel NH Collection Eurobuilding de Madrid.
CIT UPC, an entity that collaborates with the Spanish Federation of Technology Centres (Fedit), will have a stand at meetechSpain, the disruptive event that aims to boost business innovation in Spain, organised by Fedit. meetechSpain is a place for meeting, connection and cooperation between technology centres, research organisations and companies, through the main element that joins them: technology. As a result of the event, more and better innovation projects will be obtained. Technology challenges will be shared for resolution by researchers and technologists in different sectors and autonomous communities of Spain.
Technology fair and hackathon
The event will be structured in three spaces designed to foster cooperation and professional exchange, promote synergies and co-creative work, and to put participants in contact with each other according to their areas of interest:
- A hackathon in which dozens of researchers and technologists grouped in multidisciplinary teams will compete to solve a challenge related to sustainable energy.
- A technology fair (showroom) and a speaker corner where technology centres and other research organisations will be able to showcase their technological capabilities and explain their success stories in cutting-edge technologies. Attendees will also have at their disposal a speed dating space that will facilitate personal interviews with the other participants.
- A series of round tables and inspiring conferences in which leading professionals will analyse issues such as the economic and social impact of innovation and proposals to make R&D&I in Spain more competitive, among others.
The event will take place on 18 and 19 May, in the Hotel NH Collection Eurobuilding of Madrid.
During the two days, CIT UPC will demonstrate the technological capabilities of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) and will present some of the projects developed by its centres and research groups.
