Once again, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), through the UPC Technology Center (CIT UPC), will take part in the Smart City Expo World Congress, the world’s leading event on cities and smart urban solutions, which will bring together the global urban innovation community from 4 to 6 November at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue.

El 5 de juny s’ha presentat l’Institut de Recerca i Innovació en Salut (IRIS) de la UPC, que dona continuïtat al Centre de Recerca en Enginyeria Biomèdica (CREB), i que té vocació d'esdevenir un dels centres clau a Catalunya en recerca i desenvolupament de tecnologies aplicades a la salut i les tecnologies mèdiques.

From 13 to 15 May, the UPC, through the CIT UPC, UPC Technology Center, has showcased cutting-edge projects and solutions in the fields of IoT, AI and digital transformation.

The UPC, through the DIH4CAT (Digital Innovation Hub of Catalonia) project, will hold the Workshop on Advanced Digital Technologies (ADT) to promote the digital transformation of companies and public entities.

CIT UPC is once again, for another year, a Supporting Partner of Advanced Factories 2025, the leading event in the field of automation and industrial robotics. Advanced Factories, the leading event in automation and industrial robotics in Southern Europe, will take place from April 8 to 10, 2025, at Fira de Barcelona.

The UPC is once again participating in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona. This year, the university is presenting three cutting-edge technological prototypes that utilise artificial intelligence: smart insoles to improve the lives of Parkinson’s patients, a solution for 6G networks, and an intelligent traffic signal processing system for autonomous vehicles. Additionally, other projects in areas such as urban mobility, health, and sustainability will be showcased.
