Introducing Airgilab: the first ‘living lab’ that regenerates building air using horticultural crops

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), through CIT UPC, will have an exhibition space at the Government of Catalonia's stand at MWC Barcelona 2025, taking place from 3 to 6 March. More information: mwcbarcelona.upc.edu

As in previous editions, the University’s stand will be located in the Catalonia Pavilion (Congress Square, CS220, booth 27). There, the UPC will showcase its technological capabilities, projects, and solutions in areas such as smart connectivity, connected mobility, 5G, Industry 4.0, and mobile technology security.
MWC Barcelona, the world’s most important event for the mobile technology sector, will bring together the latest market innovations and the most influential experts in the industry.
Key Themes of MWC 2025: Converge. Connect. Create.
MWC 2025 will revolve around the theme “Converge, Connect, and Create”, highlighting its role as a global meeting point for social policy, business leadership, and digital innovation. Key areas shaping the agenda include:
- 5G Inside: The evolution of 5G will continue with deployments of the Release 17 phase and beyond, delivering more versatile, reliable, and universal networks.

- The AgroTech research group at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC), together with its spin-off Ugiat Technologies, have driven DoblAI, an AI platform that integrates transcription, translation, subtitling and video dubbing into a single workflow. The solution, which uses deep learning technology and cloned or default voice models, is specifically designed for the journalism and communications sector.
