  • INVISITAGS: Integrated labels for the traceability of textile garments
    The company Trace ID and the group Twin Investors, in collaboration with the Textile Technology research group (TECTEX), which is part of the Institute of Textile Research and Industrial Cooperation of Terrassa (INTEXTER) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), are developing electronic devices to identify, monitor, and study the traceability of the products in which they are embedded.
  • BIOMETCRI: Circular bioeconomy in battery recycling
    The Biological Treatment of Gaseous Pollutants and Odours Group (BIOGAP) at UPC is participating in the BIOMETCRI project, which aims to implement an innovative biotechnological process to recycle batteries from electric and hybrid vehicles, recovering valuable metals such as cobalt, lithium, nickel, and manganese.
  • New biodegradable fragrance microencapsulation techniques for detergents to avoid the release of microplastics into the environment
    The UPC POLQUITEX research group is working, along with the company CARINSA, on the research and development of fragrance microcapsules with biodegradable polymer materials for use in fabric softeners, to avoid the release of microplastics into the environment.
