Manresa City Council has given the first Rosa Argelaguet i Isanta Award – Manresa Campus Award to EPSEM professor Maria Dolors Riera for her professional career linked to the territory and for inspiring industrial careers among women.

Last December, Manresa City Council approved the creation of the Rosa Argelaguet i Isanta Award – Manresa Campus Award to recognise the role of women who contribute actively in the territory to research, teaching and dissemination of sciences, and to remember the figure of Rosa Argelaguet i Isanta, who was director of EPSEM.

The award will be given annually around 11 February, International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event has been adjourned until the health situation has improved.
