The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), through CIT UPC, and the BCN Medicare Industrial Hub co-organised, on 15 September, the event "Applied research. The strength of industry", a meeting aimed at showcasing the UPC's projects and technological capabilities in the field of health and fostering new opportunities for collaboration between the university and the business community.

Once again, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), through the the UPC Technology Center (CIT UPC), will participate in the Smart City Expo World Congress, the world’s leading event on urban innovation, which will take place from 3 to 5 November 2026 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.

In a press release, CDTI Innovación has advanced that the INNTERCONECTA STEP 2026 call will open next October with an estimated budget of €138 million in grants, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund —ERDF—. The application period will close in November, and a resolution is scheduled for the first half of 2027.
