The 2024 Call for Industrial Doctorates Plan, promoted by the Department of Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia, has been opened with a budget of nearly 6 million euros (€5,782,800).

CIT UPC will once again be a Supporting Partner of Advanced Factories, the leading event in industrial automation and robotics in the south of Europe. The eighth edition of Advanced Factories, which will be held from 9 to 11 April at the Fira de Barcelona, will be the largest in terms of exhibition space to date. The event will bring together over 27,000 industrial executives, 567 exhibitors and 382 speakers who will discover technologies and success stories to improve industrial competitiveness.

The UPC Technology Center has presented the UPC technology at Transfiere 2024, which has been held from 20 and 22 March at the Trade Fair and Congress Center of Málaga (FYCMA). The event brought together over 4,500 professionals from the R&D&I field.

The UPC has been present at MWC Barcelona 2024 with its own stand where, among other technologies, it has showcased a smart fabric with applications in the health area, a device to monitor the cardiovascular system of animals non-invasively and a virtual assistant to process social grants through a mobile phone.

Once again, the UPC is taking part, through the CIT UPC, in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2023. At this event, the UPC presents some of the projects and prototypes developed with UPC technology in the area of smart cities.

On October 27, the UPC presented the Connexia UPC program, aimed at businesses, which offers tailored collaboration to connect the technological capabilities of the University with the specific and strategic needs of the productive sector.

On September 15th, the INDUSAC project, in which the UPC's Technology Center (CIT UPC) participates as a partner, celebrated a significant milestone, the first open-environment test of its pioneering methodology at a workshop.
