The UPC Technology Center, CIT UPC, will coordinate the talk on Galileo to stimulate public transport: examples of successful international experiences, which will be held on 22 September as part of the International Mobility Congress 2021 (IMC21). The presentation will be given by Josep Laborda, CEO & Managing Partner of FACTUAL Consulting, as part of the Forum, a space in which the congress partners will share relevant, innovative contents on the field of mobility that has its own, dynamic format. In this context, Laborda will expain the initiatives of the ARIADNA project to promote the use of Galileo or the European Global Navigation Satellite System (EGNSS) for urban mobility and public transport applications and mobility services. Participants in the ARIADNA project are a consortium led by Factual Consulting, whose members include CIT UPC, the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), Pildo Consulting and Auxilia.

The International Mobility Congress (IMC21) will be held between 21 and 22 September at the Hotel Melià Sitges and will be a professional meeting point to understand the new mobility in a post-Covid environment and to address the Sustainable Development Goals through innovation. The first edition of the International Mobility Congress (IMC21) will be held his year under the slogan ‘Drive to innovation’ and will be in blended format.

IMC21 is organised by the Government of Catalonia, Sitges Town Council, AMTU – Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATM) of the Barcelona area, Barcelona Provincial Council, Barcelona City Council, Federation of Municipalities of Catalonia (FMC), Association of Municipalities of Catalonia (ACM), Barcelona Metropolitan Transport (TMB), Catalan Government Railways (FGC) and Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB). CIT UPC collaborates as ambassador of the event.
