The Catalan Foundation Coordinator (CCF) organized on 15 June a meeting on ‘Collaboration between research groups and entities with common objectives’, in a new edition of the Cafè de la Recerca. The aim was to talk about research, development and innovation networks of entities with common objectives and complementary activities or technologies, in order to pool knowledge.
At the meeting, Xartec Salut was presented. This is one of five networks that emerged in 2020 in Catalonia. It is specialized in supporting valorization and technology transfer in the health sector.
The welcome address was given by Pere-A. Fàbregas, president of the Catalan Foundation Coordinator. The event was chaired by Antonio Álvarez, director of CIT UPC. Participants included Sergio San Agustín, research and innovation promotor at Xartec Salut, Marta Borràs, promotor and manager at Xartec Salut, and Manel Gonález-Piñero, head of innovation at CREB UPC, all of whom are associated with the UPC Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CREB). Other participants were Salvador Maturana, Head of the Programmes Service of the Sub-Directorate-General for Scientific and Technological Sector Policies of the Directorate-General for Research.
The event was held online and had over 50 participants.
