The UPC Technology Center (CIT UPC) has signed a collaboration agreement with Seastainable Ventures, a Venture Builder platform specialised in the creation, incubation and acceleration of business projects in the field of the blue economy (sustainable marine economy), particularly in relation to restoring and promoting marine natural capital.
They will work together to identify and advance scientific or technological projects or innovations to develop at the UPC that may be suitable for application in sustainable business projects and/or that could be included in some of the projects or innovations that already form part of the Ecosystem of Seastainable Ventures. In this way, they will facilitate cross-fertilization and promote new opportunities. Collaboration mechanisms shall be established for project assessment, as well as consultancy and scientific support as a partner in the UPC’s areas of expert knowledge. In addition, the two entities will work together to find funds for projects in which they both collaborate.
CIT UPC’s incorporation in the platform will promote collaboration between companies associated with the sector and provide the expert knowledge of the UPC and its technology capabilities and solutions to promote innovation.
